The Hilton Quebec is participating in the event "60 EARTH HOUR"

Having begun its environmental commitment, the Hilton Quebec is preparing to participate for a second consecutive year in the international event "60 EARTH HOUR." This event is intended as a symbolic action for the fight against climate change that will take place in over 82 countries next Saturday, March 27. For more information, visit wwf.ca/earthhour/
Following the example of the Eiffel Tower, the Empire State Building or the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Hilton Quebec will be turning off all non-essential lights and reducing power usage for one hour, between 8:30 and 9:30 pm, local time. To do this, all the hotel staff invites customers to keep their room lights turned off. During this same period, customers will be invited by management to the Earth hour Reception; clients will enjoy a complimentary Earth cocktail.
The Hilton Quebec offers an original program in honor of the Earth, as soon as the clients arrive they will experience:

- Sounds of nature and relaxing music
- DVD revealing the wonders of the world or climatic disasters
- Candlelight Dinner at the Executive Club (located on the 23rd floor and offering breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River and Quebec City)
- Earth Hour Reception

With its global and ecological action plan commonly called "Go Green", the Hilton Quebec has made radical changes in the management to take the path towards a new mode of consumption, to sustainable tourism development.

Key actions implemented at the Hilton Quebec
- Preference to purchase local and regional products
- Recycling and complete sorting
- Composting all food waste
- Water stations (free) and water in recyclable plastic bottle (with charge).
- Individual plastic containers abandoned in favor of pitchers or plates
- Tablecloths and napkins are tissue or paper recyclable
- The recycling bins to 3 compartments on the floors of meeting rooms and the blue bins in the rooms. The final sorting is done by staff.
- Cleaning : washing dish is biodegradable (changes had to be made on machines)
- Newspaper delivery on request only
